X-LOCK BOSCH, the new accessory change system for angle grinders

Bosch is revolutionizing accessory changes on angle grinders with its new X-Lock system, the simplest on the market!

No more effort or parts such as a clamping nut, a flange and a key that risk being lost: accessories can now be changed in 2 seconds. In other words, 5 times faster and much more simply. Simply position the disc on the X-Lock mounting support and press to clip it in. To change the disc, just operate a lever to release it. No more nuts that are hard to unscrew after the disc has jammed in a workpiece.

Bosch offers a total of 12 small X-Lock angle grinders: 9 corded models from 900 to 1 900 W and 4 cordless models of 18 V for diameters of 125 mm. This range covers all the needs of tilers, installers and professionals who work with metal, stone and concrete. Whether cutting, sanding, deburring, derusting, fettling or polishing: the X-Lock system makes it possible to change accessories easily, quickly and reliably, without any tools and even while wearing gloves.

One system, many advantages, more efficient work with X-LOCK
The X-Lock system also reduces the need for rework because there is no clamping nut. Professionals can grind at shallow angles without risking damage to the workpiece. The X-Lock system also rules out any incorrect mounting of the accessory and ensures that discs with a prescribed mounting direction, such as diamond cutting discs, are always fitted the right way round.

A complete accessory range for every application
Bosch offers a complete assortment of more than 130 X-Lock accessories. For metalworking, professionals have a wide choice of cutting discs, fettling discs, fiber abrasive discs, SCM discs, flap discs, cup brushes and wheel brushes. For stone, concrete or tiles, they can choose between diamond cutting discs, diamond dry drill bits / core bits and diamond milling cutters.
The X-Lock accessory range also includes the ?Carbide Multi Wheel? carbide cutting disc for cutting wood containing nails, composite materials, plastics or dry building materials. The X-Lock system does not force you to buy accessories twice: virtually all X-Lock accessories are backward compatible and can therefore be used on angle grinders fitted with conventional mounting systems. The only accessories that are not compatible are those with an internal thread, such as diamond dry core bits or cup brushes and wheel brushes.

High level of user protection
The 18 volt cordless angle grinders with the X-Lock system offer a high level of user protection thanks in particular to the sensor-based ?Drop Control? and ?KickBack Control? functions. The ?Drop Control? function stops the motor as soon as the tool hits the ground after being dropped, while the ?KickBack Control? function stops the tool if the angle grinder suddenly jams, for example when the disc becomes wedged.

Some X-Lock models are also equipped with a dead man's switch and an ?X-Brake? instant stop brake. The ?X-Brake? ensures that the disc comes to a stop in 1 second as soon as the user switches off the tool. There are also models with soft start, restart protection and an additional Vibration Control handle.
