New Viessmann Vitocal 060-AD heat pump water heaters

Viessmann Climate Solutions announces the launch of a new range of compact heat pump water heaters for homes and commercial premises, intended for both new construction and the modernisation of existing installations: the Vitocal 060-AD. Dedicated to the production of domestic hot water (DHW), these 3 new ready-to-use models combine a compact format with high performance, delivering immediate energy savings while protecting the environment.

Compact, because they combine a heat pump, hot water cylinder and controls in a single pre-assembled unit, the three wall-mounted Vitocal 060-AD models have a footprint of 547 x 492 x 1184/1384 et1694 mm, with water capacities of 80, 110 and 150 litres respectively.

In addition to their appreciable compactness, the Vitocal 060-AD heat pump water heaters offer high performance, both when operating on room air (coefficients of performance of 3,25, 3,42 and 2,67 respectively) and in outdoor air mode (COP of 2,91, 2,79 and 2,59). It should also be noted that their energy efficiency is 136, 144 and 116% in room air mode and 121, 118 and 110% on outdoor air. They will therefore also quickly prove their worth thanks to their efficiency, which means appreciable energy savings.

To optimise their operation, Viessmann recommends installing them in a boiler room or technical room, spaces that regularly give off a lot of heat, a valuable energy that would otherwise be lost. Indeed, their recirculation mode uses the heat of the room to heat the water (up to 65° C) and, at the same time, cool the ambient air. This is a real advantage, for example in the commercial sector, for rooms used to store food and beverages.

It should be noted that, with the addition of a simple accessory, the Vitocal 060-AD can also work perfectly well on outdoor air, down to a temperature of – 7° C.

In this case, they achieve an acoustic performance level (Lw) of 50 dB(A), corresponding to the sound level of soft music.

With energy class A+, the new Vitocal 060-D use the natural refrigerant R290, considered one of the most environmentally friendly, with a very low GWP (global warming potential) of around 0,02.Ils. They are also Smart Grid compatible, meaning they are ready to use electricity self-generated by photovoltaic installations.

While their high-efficiency heat pump is Keymark certified, Viessmann also awards the Vitocal 060-AD the Climate Protect+++ label, based on the TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact) indicator, which characterises the life-cycle efficiency of the appliance and the global warming potential of the refrigerant used.

Furthermore, they are controlled via the integrated control element, which is intuitive and particularly simple thanks to preset controls with various basic programmes that can be perfectly adapted to the user's personal needs.
