New Bosch Professional range of moisture and temperature detection tools: robust, accurate, intuitive and easy to interpret

A high moisture level in a building can compromise the integrity of its structure or cause significant damage to building materials (rotting wood, cracking or crumbling walls, corrosion of metal elements, etc.). Measuring the moisture content of materials is an important step in preventing risks or limiting damage.

In its range of measuring instruments, Bosch Professional is launching a new segment with moisture and temperature detection tools. The GDH 1-17 Professional thermo-hygrometer, the GMM 1-15 Professional pinless moisture meter, and the GMP 1-13 Professional and GMP 2-15 Professional pin-type moisture meters stand out for their ergonomic and robust design, their accuracy and their wide measuring range. Combined with the new GLM 40-31 Professional laser measure, they can meet a multitude of applications, even in extreme conditions.

For greater autonomy and flexibility, they feature Dual Power, allowing operation with a BA 3.7V 1.0Ah A lithium-ion battery or 2 AA batteries LR6.

With the new Bosch GDH 1-17 thermo-hygrometer, architects, energy consultants, plumbers, HVAC professionals, building inspectors and carpenters can quickly measure temperature levels (-20°C to +50°C) and humidity levels (5% to 95% RH) in the air.

Monitoring air humidity levels in storage areas or in a room, determining the humidity level to assess a building's energy efficiency, checking the performance of HVAC systems, spotting areas with high air humidity, etc. is very easy with the GDH 1-17 Professional.

It monitors in real time and with high accuracy the min/max values of 5 key temperature variables:

- air temperature,

- relative humidity,

- dew point,

- wet-bulb temperature,

- absolute humidity.

For easy reading of relative humidity results, the GDH 1-17 Professional features a user-adjustable variable threshold scale (in green and red).

Robust and durable, the GDH 1-17 Professional was designed for demanding job sites. Its reinforced rubber housing with protection rating IP65 provides good protection against water and dust. A waterproof, breathable protective membrane rated IP65 protects the sensor from harsh conditions while maintaining accuracy and performance.

Ergonomic, the GDH 1-17 Professional offers a pleasant and secure grip thanks to its soft-grip handle and its particularly intuitive user interface. Its high-contrast color LCD screen makes readings easy to see, even in low light, and its 3 button keypad (on/off/back button, settings button and central button for navigating and holding measurements) simplifies use.

A valuable aid for drywall installers, painters, architects, plumbers, carpenters, etc., the new Bosch Professional GMM 1-15 pinless moisture meter inspects surfaces to detect possible water damage, locate hidden leaks, measure the moisture content of drywall, concrete and masonry, and check the moisture level of wood and of areas that could generate mold.

With its non-invasive material sensor, it can monitor and measure the moisture content of 37 wood species and 10 building materials. The adjustable variable threshold scale with color display allows quick interpretation of results.

The reference mode makes it possible to compare moisture levels in different locations against a dry reference area.

With its compact and ergonomic design, the GMM 1-15 Professional is easy to use and offers a comfortable grip. Its high-contrast color LCD screen ensures better visibility of results. Its intuitive interface features an on/off/back button, a settings button and a central button to hold the display so that data can be easily noted and analyzed. An adjustable beep sounds with each measurement to confirm it has been taken.

Robustly built, the GMM 1-15 Professional remains reliable whatever the job site conditions, even the harshest. Its rubberized housing and its protection rating IP65 ensure good sealing against water and dust, and great durability.

For professionals who want to take quick and accurate moisture measurements, the new Bosch Professional GMP 1-13 and GMP 2-15 Professional pin-type moisture meters are perfect. They make it possible to reliably identify the sources of moisture behind mold or water damage and to assess the moisture present in materials such as wood, drywall, plaster or concrete, in order to ensure optimal conditions during work (painting, wallpapering, laying parquet flooring, etc.).

By pushing the two pins into the materials, the user can take measurements from -20°C to 50°C, in 37 wood species and 10 building materials.

The GMP 1-13 Professional and GMP 2-15 Professional have an adjustable variable threshold scale that makes it easier to interpret measurements according to the user's preferences.

An automatic/manual self-test checks calibration before each use to ensure accurate results.

The GMP 2-15 Professional has a thermo-hygrometer sensor to monitor ambient temperature and relative humidity, thereby ensuring the quality and longevity of materials.

A central button provides easy navigation, allows the display to be held to simplify recording measured values, and shows the last 3 measurement results.

Compact, the new Bosch Professional GLM 40-31 laser measure offers exceptional versatility and guarantees perfectly reliable measurements whatever the working conditions. With a range of 40 m, 7 measuring modes and an automatic calculation function, the GLM 40-31 Professional adapts to a large number of applications. Carpenters, building tradespeople, electricians, plumbers/heating engineers, etc. can quickly carry out, with an accuracy of ± 1,5 mm:

- continuous measurements,

- distance measurements,

- area measurements,

- volume measurements,

- indirect heights (Pythagorean function),

- min/max measurements,

- area/volume calculations,

- addition and subtraction of measurements.

This laser measure also has a tape measure mode with a marking aid on its housing.

Thanks to a modern, intuitive user interface, the GLM 40-31 Professional is very simple to use. Its silicone keys and bright color screen have been optimized for easy navigation through the modes and easy reading of measurements. Conveniently, its screen displays the last three measurement results and its memory function automatically saves the last 10 measurements for quick reference.

Both lightweight (100 g), durable and robust, the GLM 40-31 Professional is the ideal measuring companion on the toughest job sites. Thanks to its unbreakable screen protection glass and its 360° reinforced ABS housing that absorbs shocks, it withstands drops of up to 1,5 m onto concrete.

IP 65 certified, the laser measure has an uninterrupted rubber seal and a battery cover sealed with a rubber gasket for effective protection against water and dust. The measuring system is also protected by more resistant recessed glass.
