Bergerat Monnoyeur guarantees CAT® machines are back in service within 48h

In operating environments where every hour of downtime can have immediate consequences on production, Bergerat Monnoyeur is strengthening its commitment to its customers by introducing a guarantee that CAT® machines will be back in service within 48 hours or by an agreed date.

With this new guarantee, built into its Connectivity & Services offer, the Caterpillar dealer in France turns service performance into a measurable contractual commitment, backed by compensation in the event of non-compliance.

This approach reflects a strong commitment: moving from a promise of service quality to an operational guarantee of machine availability, tailored to the real-world constraints of operators.

A guarantee adapted to field realities and to intervention levels
With the guarantee of return to service within 48 hours or by an agreed date, Bergerat Monnoyeur provides a concrete answer to one of the major challenges facing professionals: limiting interruptions to activity and securing production deadlines.

For standard interventions requiring less than eight hours of labor, Bergerat Monnoyeur guarantees a return to service within 48 working hours. One example is a routine operation such as resolving a sensor issue, a typical intervention where a fast response helps limit the impact on the schedule and safeguard operational continuity.

For heavier interventions requiring more working time, a return-to-service date is agreed with the customer. This may apply in particular to a major operation on a main hydraulic component, where logistical planning and scheduling are needed to get the machine running again.

In both cases, if the commitment is not met, financial compensation (a voucher valid on parts.cat.com, worth 1 000 ? per intervention) is automatically triggered, with no action required from the customer.

This guarantee covers all eligible CAT® machines in mainland France and Corsica, subject to a Connectivity and Service subscription (new contract or renewal). Once the prerequisites are met (completion of an SOS analysis and a remote diagnosis), the countdown starts when the quote is signed.

A decisive guarantee when every hour of downtime affects production
This new guarantee makes the most sense in operating contexts where machine availability is directly linked to the economic performance of the sites.

In quarries, for example, the stoppage of a loading machine at the working face can cause cascading stoppages across the entire production chain, even shutting down the plant when the operation runs on a just-in-time basis, full time, or even in double or triple shifts. In this type of industrial organization, getting a machine back in service quickly becomes a critical factor in business continuity.

In industry too, certain situations make equipment availability strategic. This is the case when there is no buffer stock, for products that are difficult to store such as paper, or in environments such as foundries, where furnaces must run continuously and cannot be shut down. An immobilized machine in this context can force the industrial plant to run idle or disrupt the entire production.

In still other sectors, such as the production of wood fuel for heating plants, manufacturers must honor contractual commitments with often limited stock levels. Breakdowns frequently occur during periods of intensive use, precisely when the machine is most indispensable.

The guarantee of return to service within 48 hours or by an agreed date thus provides a concrete answer to these critical situations by securing intervention times and providing operational visibility.

A comprehensive range of guarantees to turn the service promise into a measurable commitment

The return-to-service guarantee is part of a global offer of commitment-based guarantees, built into the Connectivity & Services contracts, which aims to secure machine operation throughout their service life.

It complements a structured set of measures including the machine connectivity guarantee, the fuel consumption guarantee, the guarantee that maintenance and routine repair parts are shipped within 24 hours, the guarantee of certified maintenance carried out on time with genuine parts and by certified technicians, same-day remote diagnosis and priority intervention in the event of a breakdown, helping to further reduce downtime.

All of these commitments rely on measured, tracked and audited indicators, with a simple principle: making service quality an objective and verifiable commitment.

Commitments made possible by a service organization sized at national scale and by technologies that predict the interventions needed for the machine to operate

The return-to-service guarantee relies on a technical and human organization able to intervene quickly across the entire country.

In 2025, more than 3 000 machines were monitored via Bergerat Monnoyeur connectivity solutions. In addition, more than 96 % of parts orders were shipped within the announced lead times and more than 90 % of maintenance work was completed within the planned time. A quarter of immobilized machines were restarted remotely, saving an average of 1,5 day of machine downtime.

These results illustrate the strength of the service model deployed by Bergerat Monnoyeur and confirm the company's ability to turn its commitments into concrete guarantees.

A new step in the relationship of trust between Bergerat Monnoyeur and its customers
With the guarantee of return to service within 48 hours or by an agreed date, Bergerat Monnoyeur takes a further step in its service strategy by giving operators greater visibility, security and peace of mind in managing their equipment.

In sectors where each machine directly contributes to the overall performance of a site, this guarantee marks a major development: it turns equipment availability into a contractual commitment and reinforces Bergerat Monnoyeur's position as a long-term operational partner, able to support its customers as closely as possible in their production challenges.
