Weberfloor béton ciré: new trowelled decorative system for floors and walls

A specialist in floor preparation, Weber offers a broad range of solutions for the professional and residential markets. It is now unveiling its brand-new trowelled decorative system, weberfloor béton ciré.

Designed for creating ultra-thin waxed concrete (béton ciré) coatings, for floors and walls alike, in residential, commercial and commerciaux1 premises, the system, made up of all its layers (primer + base + finish or finish liss + pore filler + wax or varnish), reaches a thickness of 2 to 3 mm. It combines technical performance with aesthetic qualities to create spaces that are both contemporary and welcoming.

At the heart of the system, weberfloor béton ciré liant and weberfloor pigment are intended to be mixed on site with the other powder components (weberfloor béton ciré base, weberfloor béton ciré finish and weberfloor béton ciré finish liss).

While weberfloor béton ciré liant is a ready-to-use, water-based polymer binder supplied in 10 litre containers, weberfloor pigment, a colourant based on natural minerals, pre-dosed for 20 kg of powder to be tinted, comes in 15 shades! Alongside the traditional Greys (Light, Medium, Dark, Black and Pure), Whites (Cotton, Off-White and Bluish) join the elegant Beige and Taupe, while shades such as Nude Pink, Apricot Pink, Terracotta and Aqua Green give surfaces real originality and bring boldness to interior design!

After cleaning and preparing the substrate, then applying a primaire2, weberfloor béton ciré base, mixed with weberfloor béton ciré liant and weberfloor pigment, forms the base coat. It is easy to apply, in a single coat skimmed flat (like a render), and has excellent adhesion to the substrate, with the advantage of concealing any imperfections.

After drying and light sanding of the base coat, two finishing coats should be applied, using either weberfloor béton ciré finish for a raw mineral look, or weberfloor béton ciré finish liss3 for a smooth mineral look.

For this purpose, weberfloor béton ciré finish and weberfloor béton ciré finish liss are again mixed with weberfloor béton ciré liant.

Once dry, a surface treatment of pore filler + wax or varnish must be applied to protect the béton ciré from stains and dirt.

It should be noted that the weberfloor béton ciré system is compatible with electric underfloor and radiant heating. In terms of hygiene, the absence* of joints means less dirt build-up, for an intrinsically hygienic floor that is also easy to clean and offers very appreciable aesthetic durability.

* Existing joints in the substrate will be carried through into the béton ciré
