Vertical'Bloc construction system: concrete blocks designed with Ciments Calcia

Ciments Calcia has combined its expertise with that of Vertical'Bloc Ingénierie to develop an innovative construction system that ideally meets the expectations of building professionals mindful of the challenges of tomorrow's city and of the imperative to ?build more, better and more cheaply?.
Ergonomic and reliable implementation, optimized costs and lead times, reduced physical strain and site nuisances: Vertical'Bloc, covered by CSTB technical approvals and validated for construction in all seismic zones, combines many advantages.
Vertical'Bloc combines a certified formwork block with standardized ready-mixed concrete. All that is needed is to stack the blocks and, once the walls are built, pour the micro-concrete inside them with a pump from the top of the wall. Gone is the tedious step of bonding concrete blocks with mortar, which also eliminates any risk of cracking!
Easy and quick to implement in any weather thanks to dry assembly, Vertical'Bloc simplifies handling on building sites and therefore reduces physical strain. The mason's working environment is improved, since there are no longer any cutting tools, mortar troughs or trowels at the workstation. At the same time, it delivers a very welcome productivity gain for companies in such a highly competitive sector.
The smooth supply of micro-concrete to the site by truck mixers also goes hand in hand with a cleaner building site, as there is no need to clean the base of the walls. Vertical'Bloc adapts to all architectural projects up to ground floor plus 3 floors.
25 % thinner thanks to a block only 15 cm thick, Vertical'Bloc increases living space by 2 % without changing the external dimensions (for an identical floor area compared with a traditional masonry building). 25 is also the reduction in steel percentage, made possible by a simplified reinforcement method validated by an engineering consultancy.
And yet, once filled with ready-mixed concrete, Vertical'Bloc offers a strength 250 % higher than traditional masonry!
Its mechanical resistance to compression and bending (B60), which makes it comparable to a concrete wall, is unrivaled, as is its pull-out resistance rated Rt3, the highest on the market, i.e. a resistance of Rt >0,8 Mpa.
Vertical'Bloc fully meets acoustic comfort requirements with an attenuation of external noise of 10 %, performance enhanced by the absence of vertical and horizontal joints.
Thanks to the thermal inertia of concrete and better absorption of thermal shocks due to the homogeneous surface mass of the wall, it also guarantees thermal comfort in summer and winter, whether used in single-family housing, small multi-unit housing or industrial buildings. It should be noted that the homogeneity of the wall has the advantage of limiting rising damp and improves airtightness.
Moreover, Vertical'Bloc is part of an eco-responsible approach, offering low-carbon masonry: short supply chain (manufacturing and distribution from local resources and sectors), reduced water consumption on site, and a material that is 100 % natural and recyclable (6 % water, 7 % cement and 87 % aggregates). Finally, Vertical'Bloc benefits from an FDES (environmental and health declaration) produced by CERIB and verified under the INIES program, specifying its compliance with standard NF EN 15804+A1 and its national complement NF EN 15804/CN).
