With VEKA REcycle, VEKA offers an eco-designed window line that includes 100 % recycled material at the core of the PVC profile and up to 70 % for the window frames. This is an initiative set to spread among manufacturers, partners of VEKA and VEKA Recyclage, who can fully embrace this virtuous approach to build a sustainable future together.
The new VEKASLIDE Hi-5 sliding concept is the result of VEKA's R&D, which has filed 3 patents and developed specific compression strike plates.
Stylish and contemporary, VEKASLIDE Hi-5 combines the best features of a sliding system and a casement window. With a large glazing area, its innovative nature gives it, among other things, unrivalled ease of use (2 or 4 moving sashes, up to 150 kg load per sash), together with perfect airtightness.
Intended for both new-build and renovation, VEKASLIDE Hi-5 stands out in particular for its sashes sliding on two tracks without friction and for its sealing ensured by the compression of the casement gaskets. These two major innovations give it AEV performance (A*4 E*8A V*A3) similar to that of the best PVC windows, while ensuring a high level of user comfort. Boasting a thermal performance Uw of 1,3 W/(m².K) with standard double glazing, the VEKASLIDE Hi-5 sliding door can also accommodate glazing up to 36 mm thick, for acoustic performance reaching 38 dB!
It is also worth noting the accomplished aesthetic work that VEKA has carried out on this new system. In addition to the large dimensions and slim profiles (54 mm in the central part), which mean more natural light and energy savings, VEKASLIDE Hi-5, 100 % recyclable, also stands out for its wide colour palette (50), complemented by the SPECTRAL finish, in single or dual colour, a true guarantee of personalisation and elegance.
With industrialisation identical to that of a traditional PVC window, VEKASLIDE Hi-5 is manufactured by welding the sashes and frames (several of its profiles can also be extruded with recycled material), with the option of mechanical assembly of the frame (which makes it easier to install large sizes on site). It should also be noted that the pocket configuration is achieved without complexity. Finally, VEKASLIDE Hi-5 will be commercially launched on the French market from the end of 2022, when it is also expected to receive DTA (Document Technique d'Application) certification issued by the CSTB.
