RECTOPLAST 13 VS, the outcome of long research carried out by the company's technical department, is a showcase of RECTOR's expertise. With the same advantages as the infill blocks in the Plastivoute range, namely light weight, ease of installation and compact size, RECTOPLAST 13 VS features numerous design improvements.
These include:
- an integrated shutter that spares masons additional handling, provides a perfect seal during pouring and ensures controlled logistics for building materials merchants,
- the combination of the RECTOPLAST 13 VS infill block with RECTOR RSE joists to span long distances (up to 5 m) and avoid the need for propping,
- a new length of 1,35 m to cover a larger area while using fewer pieces,
- a redesigned clipping system in the longitudinal direction, which contributes to simpler and faster installation while ensuring a perfect seal at the time of pouring,
- an upper part of the infill block body with a non-slip honeycomb textured surface for improved safety on site,
- greater rigidity for increased strength and safety on site.
As new regulations require the life cycle of products and systems to be entirely rethought in order to reduce their environmental impact and carbon footprint, RECTOPLAST 13 VS is part of this eco-responsible approach. Made essentially of 100% recycled polypropylene, RECTOPLAST 13 VS is fitted with an interlocking system along its entire length that allows offcuts to be reused when cutting.
The shape of RECTOPLAST 13 VS has been designed to optimize the concrete volume of floors as much as possible (68l/m2 in 13 + 4 assembly), which saves money on site. In addition, reusable offcuts reduce waste and decrease the amount of waste to be removed from the site.
The RECTOPLAST 13 VS infill block, for which NF certification is in progress, has been the subject of two patents for its innovative clipping system and its integrated shutter. With RECTOPLAST 13 VS, Rector offers all professionals a forward-looking plastic infill block for floors over crawl spaces.
RECTOPLAST 13 VS, the new plastic formwork infill block from RECTOR

Lightweight and high-performing, the new RECTOPLAST VS 13 plastic formwork infill block designed by RECTOR is the ideal, cost-effective solution for installing non-insulating floors over crawl spaces, in all seismic zones, in new-build or renovation projects, for detached or grouped single-family homes, small multi-unit residential buildings and commercial buildings with no fire resistance requirements.
