New Schöck Signo® fibre-reinforced concrete formwork: quality, durability and aesthetics

Schöck is innovating once again in permanent formwork elements with Schöck Signo®, a product range ideally suited to precast production lines, while retaining a proven application on site.
Thanks to a new formulation and an entirely new manufacturing process, Schöck Signo® establishes itself as the widest formwork offering on the market. A unique combination of concretes gives the elements in this range an exceptionally smooth outer surface, free of bubbles and roughness, for an impeccable appearance. This aesthetic asset is matched by the fact that the material is hydrophobic and completely watertight thanks to infinitesimal capillary pores, achieving optimal durability with no risk of deterioration over time due to moisture and ensuring the necessary concrete cover for the reinforcing steel. The manufacturing process comprises two phases: the first consists of moulding the outer face of the Signo®, then, in the continuity of a single pour, the second is an extrusion process that gives the highly compacted fibre-reinforced concrete of the inner faces a rough texture and lugs that promote bonding with the fresh concrete.
Designed for building exposed concrete construction elements such as edges of semi-precast slabs, balconies, bands, walls or edge beam formwork, Schöck Signo® offers a flawless facing that will appeal to architects, precasters and construction companies.
Made of extruded fibre-reinforced concrete type C40/50, Schöck Signo® offers the advantage of a remarkably smooth outer surface, a guarantee of a high-quality finish, and a rough inner surface with lugs, for optimal bonding with the fresh concrete. Delivered ready to install, in a maximum length of 2.70 ML, these formwork elements simply need to be cut to obtain the desired size and angle, then assembled easily and in record time using straight and corner connecting clips for perfect alignment. The lugs on the inner side then create a linear mechanical bond with the fresh concrete.
Efficient, fast and safe, this turnkey solution, which generates virtually no waste on site, is an ally for professionals seeking rational construction methods, short completion times and optimised profitability, with an aesthetic result that meets the expectations of the various players in the building sector. It should also be noted that Schöck Signo® can be custom-made according to needs and projects, with a choice of heights ranging from 7 to 60 cm.
Whether for door openings, windows, staircases, landings or balconies, Schöck Signo® provides an ideal solution for each of these configurations by creating a perfect frame.
Formwork for slab, semi-precast slab and beam edges. The Signo® type U-0 formwork is used for slab, semi-precast slab and beam edges. Fitted with a chamfer identical to that of a formwork rule, it ensures an impeccable finish.
Formwork for making balcony edges. Signo® type U-1, also with a chamfered profile, has a particularly effective sealing tongue that makes it possible to obtain a perfect, code-compliant drip edge by removing the seal after pouring. It is easily positioned on the formwork table to make balcony edges.
Formwork for double walls and sandwich walls. Signo® type U-2 is fitted with two sealing tongues to treat the lateral sides of the precast wall panels, preventing any leakage of concrete laitance.
