New Allura flooring collection from Forbo Flooring

Every floor covering designed by Forbo Flooring competes in boldness and inventiveness. This creative intensity is resolutely embodied in its new Allura LVT range, driven by a highly evocative signature, made with passion. A passion in three parts (for design, efficiency and the environment) that brings a wealth of new features: new designs, new colors, new textures, new formats and new performances, to meet every imaginable demand, in both private and public sectors. The highlight is an exclusive innovation: Allura decibel, the only acoustic LVT on the market, and what's more, 100 % made in France (in Reims, to be precise)!
With 90 designs, 5 installation methods and 12 product constructions, Allura is designed to meet absolutely all fit-out needs, coming from decision-makers, users, distributors and installers. Limiting the downtime of premises, covering existing floors, minimizing environmental impacts, making installation easier, having no creative limit other than one's own imagination: these are the leitmotifs that drove Forbo Flooring's R&D researchers and designers when designing this ?all-in-one? collection, to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Allura decibel exclusive: the only acoustic LVT on the market
By launching its new LVT collection, Forbo Flooring stands out more than ever with its unique Allura decibel solution (patent pending), intended for U2s / U3 / U4 premises.
One of the few LVTs on the market to offer optimal acoustic comfort of 19 dB (quieter than a laminate floor), available in 3 constructions (0.35, 0.7 and 0.8 mm), Allura decibel offers the advantage of perfect dimensional stability and excellent resistance to indentation thanks to its D3S core technology. Its tacky, repositionable installation responds pertinently to the challenges of the construction market, in new builds as well as renovation: shorter site lead times, optimized profitability and sustainable development. Finally, its wear layer exceeds standard requirements (up to 44 % more than the U3 requirement), guaranteeing increased longevity, much appreciated in high-traffic areas.
More practical to transport and handle than a rigid LVT, easier to trim at door frames: installation companies gain peace of mind with Allura decibel! As always at Forbo Flooring, these technical performances go hand in hand with a pronounced aesthetic focus. Numbering 30, the Allura decibel references offer timeless designs such as woods (16) and trendy material effects such as marble, concrete or stone (14): all with heightened realism, thanks to the innovation of planks bevelled on 4 sides and the grained finish for the former, as well as the use of specific metallic inks accentuating the mineral look of the latter.
Finally, made 100 % in France at Forbo Flooring's historic site in Reims, which has benefited from substantial investments to house a new production line, Allura decibel is emblematic of the importance the resilient flooring expert places on the environment, short supply chains and the circular economy. Designed by limiting the use of raw materials (up to 2 times less compared with a competing LVT), produced using electricity that is 100 % from renewable sources and guaranteed 100 % recyclable at end of life, this phthalate-free acoustic LVT contributes to improved indoor air quality (A+ rating).
The essential glue-down, tacky and click-in floor coverings
The Allura glue-down solutions 0.4, 0.55 and 0.70 (with 3 wear layers of different thicknesses) enjoy immediate trust among installers, whatever the segment and size of the project. Meanwhile, the tiles and planks of the removable Allura flex range 0.55 and 1 mm have a structure and a surface mass allowing loose-lay installation. One of the only tacky-installed LVTs with a technical approval, offering the best resistance to indentation validated by the CSTB and with up to 1 mm of wear layer, Allura flex proves particularly robust and easy to maintain, qualities that make it the ideal flooring for shops and offices, for example. Its ease and speed of installation, resulting in reduced downtime of premises, are also assets where direct loss of operations can be detrimental.
Finally, equipped with a reliable click system that is strong in tension, again enabling express installation, Allura click pro, suited to high-traffic places, is also one of the only click-in LVTs with a technical approval. It has exceptional dimensional stability that allows it, in particular, to be installed without gluing facing glazed bays and without any expansion joint up to 1 000 m². An ally of damp rooms, it can be laid over tiles as well as compact and acoustic PVC (in private areas of dwellings).
New loose-lay concepts from Forbo Flooring
Forbo Flooring has also developed new loose-lay concepts, particularly suited to work in occupied premises. Thus, with Allura ease, disturbances become almost nil (noise, dust, odors): its completely loose installation, without glue or additional fixing, making it possible to cover old substrates directly (including asbestos-containing ones in sub-section 4), proves 30 % faster than with a click-in LVT. The result: premises out of use for a minimum of time and immediately available once the flooring is applied, as well as easy replacement of planks or tiles that may have been damaged. As for Allura puzzle, as its name suggests, installation is child's play: simply assemble each piece via an ingenious dovetail system. The XL tile format (96 x 96 cm) allows even faster installation.
