Loxam supports craftsmen to make their worksites easier

As part of the Mondial de la Construction, LOXAM will present its flagship tools from its tool range at BATIMAT, particularly those dedicated to renovation, upkeep and maintenance work, which represent a significant share of craftsmen's business. This new range offers for rental equipment that reduces fatigue and strain (handling, awkward postures, etc.), saves time during implementation (versatile, compact, light, easy to handle), and delivers ever more efficiency, productivity and safety on worksites.
- Gain in practicality and mobility, with equipment dedicated to lifting people, such as the electric aerial work platform (5 metres) and the compact folding scaffold (4 metres).
- Gain in ease of use, thanks to a full range of cordless power tools, including drills, grinders, reciprocating saws, jigsaws or circular saws, thermal cameras, etc., which are lighter and more compact and ensure more practical and more comfortable use. LOXAM will also present 3 kVA super-soundproofed generators with distribution boxes, to reduce noise nuisance and improve working conditions.
- Finally, LOXAM will exhibit a selection of tools suited to concrete work and to cleaning small surfaces, allowing craftsmen to work more efficiently: electric wall saws, cordless material cutters, planers, core drills and electric hammer drills, electric cleaners or single-disc scrubbers.

This led to a partnership between EIFFAGE and LOXAM for the exclusive distribution, within its network in France, of the new Ironhand® bionic glove. Developed by the startup Bioservo Technologies AB, Ironhand® amplifies the natural strength of the hand while reducing effort, in order to prevent certain musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) linked to strenuous work. Professionals will be able to discover and test the Ironhand® bionic glove on the LOXAM stand at BATIMAT.
Today, it is making its way into training processes in the broad sense. LOXAM has taken the lead by trialling a fully immersive training module for operating aerial work platforms. Using a replica of a platform basket mounted on jacks, the participant is immersed in a virtual worksite with a headset. 3 types of platforms and 32 simulations, of varying complexity, are available.
This immersive and educational system makes it possible to train operators, raise their awareness of risk situations and assess them in complete safety. Currently intended for training newcomers, LOXAM plans to extend or adapt this virtual driving simulator to other applications.
In addition, LOXAM has implemented an information policy aimed at everyone. Thanks to the LOXAM Catalog app, LOXAM supports its customers on their worksites and in the use of its equipment, for ever safer work. Everyone can find interactive Safety information there on more than 500 items of equipment and tools: advice, PPE recommendations, technical data sheets and video tutorials on how to use the equipment.
