Komatsu's new rigid dump truck HD605-10 to be demonstrated at Bauma

Komatsu Europe is proud to announce the introduction of a newcomer: the HD605-10 rigid dump truck. Backed by more than a century of Komatsu expertise in mining and quarry operations, this large-capacity machine pushes the limits in terms of safety, productivity, durability and environmental responsibility.

Designed to ensure productivity while limiting operating costs, the HD605- 10 model benefits from higher engine torque and fuel-saving technology. The machine aims to meet the demands of quarry operations experts. It offers unrivaled safety and comfort for the operator, while ensuring optimal performance at the lowest cost per tonne.

Juuso Ahola is Product Manager at Komatsu Europe. According to him, ?the development teams gave priority to customers' needs. They have designed a machine that not only benefits from the reliability of its predecessor, but also offers clear improvements: increased power, reduced weight, a capacity of 64 tonnes for a volume of 43 m3, enhanced durability, better visibility and lower consumption.?

Financial and environmental considerations play a major role in the HD605-10 model. This machine is fitted with a 610 kW Stage V engine delivering exceptional productivity. Three modes can be activated depending on use: Economy, Economy Light and Power. In addition, fuel-saving systems, including the high-efficiency cooling circuit and an optional lightweight body, ensure low consumption and reduced operating costs.

In terms of reliability, the HD605-10 is built to last and to remain operational in the most demanding jobs. The reinforced transmission, torque converter, main frame, differentials and final drive components ensure the machine's longevity and strength. Combined with the benefits of the Komatsu Care program, these features give the user the peace of mind they expect.

The HD605-10 also offers numerous safety features, including full LED lighting for better visibility, illuminated walkways for safe access to the cab, and a brake control system check before start-up. In addition, the machine has an external seat belt indicator and retarder brakes for greater safety during operation, even on the steepest slopes.

Operator comfort has also received particular attention, notably thanks to hill-start assist, cruise control and many other features that make driving this dump truck a pleasure for every operator.

The launch of the HD605-10 underlines Komatsu's commitment to innovation, efficiency and safety in the quarry and mining sector. Customers now have a reliable and durable solution for their most demanding jobs.

Komatsu's new HD605-10 rigid dump truck will be demonstrated at Bauma 2025, with its ideal partner WA700-8.
