KALUBIM 3D, the most comprehensive BIM object library from KAWNEER

Keen to meet the expectations of specifiers, KAWNEER has teamed up with Polantis, the leader in 2D/3D and BIM content creation, to provide them with KALUBIM 3D, a comprehensive BIM library that brings together the majority of its aluminium windows and facade systems.

The KALUBIM 3D library consists of 78 objects covering the majority of KAWNEER's aluminium windows and facade systems:

- KASSIOPÉE windows with concealed sash, KALORY with visible sash, KALORY R with ventilated sash and KALORY SPECI'AL K with semi-visible sash, in all their versions (fixed, side-hung, tilt-and-turn, multiple sashes…).

?Today, specifiers demand simplicity, concise and easily readable information, but above all lightweight BIM objects so as not to burden the digital model. These objects must also be parametric, meaning that their dimensions must be adjustable according to the actual dimensions of the product,? says Bertrand Gasnier, Sales Director at Polantis.

To meet these requirements, KAWNEER and Polantis have designed BIM objects that integrate all the graphical and technical data for each solution in a single file. Three display levels make it possible to adjust the graphical representation of the object according to the desired level of detail (Level of Detail 100 to 300) without making the file heavier.

Moreover, each BIM object includes not only the technical information needed for calculations (dimensions, performance…), links to technical data sheets, technical appraisals, CCTP specifications and certifications, but also the contact details of KAWNEER's Specification team.

During the development phase, KAWNEER's BIM objects were tested by Polantis's network of partner architecture firms, whose positive feedback validated the approach adopted.
