Jouplast, pedestals for paving, wood or composite decking terraces

A terrace on pedestals creates an outdoor space that is functional, attractive and easy to install. This jointless installation method, which requires no heavy groundwork, promotes rainwater drainage so that water does not stagnate, and provides easy access to the utilities located beneath the terrace, such as water pipes or electric cables. In addition, adjustable pedestals compensate for uneven ground. As a major player in the outdoor landscaping market, JOUPLAST® has developed a wide range of solutions to meet the needs of every terrace project. The brand thus offers two ranges of pedestals: one dedicated to paving terraces, the other to wood or composite terraces. In addition, three new accessories are available this year, helping to ensure a successful installation.

For paving terraces, the standard and self-leveling ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® pedestals meet all site constraints: concrete slab or raw ground, slope, poorly leveled or uneven ground, sand, etc. For wood or composite terraces, JOUPLAST® offers standard pedestals, along with the Elevo® pedestal, which can be positioned on a metal pile, with no excavation or special ground preparation.

The JOUPLAST® pedestal family is expanding with three accessories used for finishing and for installing terraces:

- The paving slab support plate kit, which strengthens the structure,

- The CLEMAN® adjustment key, for perfect alignment,

- The smallest adjustable pedestal on the market, for wood or composite terraces.

Building a paving terrace with ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® pedestals
To build a paving terrace, JOUPLAST® offers ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals made of 100% recycled polypropylene. Standard or self-leveling, these pedestals are ideal for pedestrian outdoor terraces in tile, ceramic, paving or duckboard. Standard pedestals are installed on flat, even ground with no difference in level beyond 1,5%. Fitted with a pivot-mounted head, self-leveling pedestals are used for installation on uneven and/or non-flat ground and can compensate for slopes of up to 5%.

The height of ESSENTIEL pedestals can be increased up to 470 mm for standard ones and 485 mm for self-leveling ones (by combining them with risers of different sizes: 10, 25 or 60 mm).

The patented CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® range consists of standard pedestals (from 28 to 470 mm high) and self-leveling pedestals (from 40 to 470 mm), with risers used for heights above 230 mm. For optimal installation, they offer 3 levels of use: pre-adjustment of the pedestals with the screwing bit at the start of the job, manual height adjustment with the nut during the job, and height adjustment with the CLEMAN® key (without removing the paving) at the end of the job.

JOUPLAST® slab support plates for edge finishing
Made of recycled polypropylene, JOUPLAST® slab support plates are positioned on the head of ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals around the terrace perimeter. They support and stabilize slabs cut to fit against a wall. Along edges or in corners, they hold a skirting board or a clip-on finishing profile in a vertical position.

Building a wood or composite terrace with standard and Elevo® JOUPLAST® pedestals
For pedestrian wood or composite terraces, the standard adjustable pedestals and the Elevo® JOUPLAST® pedestal, made of 100% recycled polypropylene, are simple to use, efficient and economical. The head of these pedestals is fitted with a support tab for fixing the joist.

Designed for installation on flat, even ground, the height of standard pedestals can be increased up to 470 mm by combining them with risers above 230 mm high.

Fitted with a specific base, the Elevo® pedestal can be positioned on a metal pile (anchor pile type, not supplied). Perfect for building a wood or composite terrace without specific preparation, this pedestal, adjustable in height from 43 to 138 mm (an adjustment range of 95 mm from the top surface of the pile), requires no excavation or specific ground preparation. The height of the Elevo® pedestal can be increased with ESSENTIEL risers of 60 mm.

Slab support plate kit for a flawless edge finish
To complete its range of edge-finishing solutions, JOUPLAST® is launching the slab support plate kit. Compatible with ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals, this product prevents slabs from tipping at the terrace perimeter or against a wall by eliminating overhang.

The JOUPLAST® kit is used for heights under slab support plates between 45 and 65 mm. It is also possible to use up to 2 risers (i.e. 40 mm of additional height) for heights under slab support plates of up to 105 mm.

CLEMAN® adjustment key for precise handling
Particularly sturdy, the CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® adjustment key offers a good grip. Highly precise, it can correct up to 1 mm of misalignment (the equivalent of a quarter turn) once the covering has been laid.

The smallest adjustable pedestal on the market, a mini for wood or composite terraces
JOUPLAST® is constantly developing its offer to meet the specific needs of each project. This year, the manufacturer is expanding its range with the smallest adjustable pedestal on the market. Intended for building wood or composite terraces, this pedestal, adjustable from 8 to 20 mm, is particularly quick and easy to install (no heavy groundwork). It is used on stabilized ground or on a concrete slab and can be combined with a riser of 5 mm.
