Ideal Standard launches ALU+, a new sustainable shower column

Ideal Standard, a leading bathroom manufacturer, is exclusively unveiling its latest shower range, Alu+. The new collection stands out for its modern colour palette, practical functions and advances in sustainability, offering customers a contemporary shower solution suited to today's lifestyles.

Aesthetically, the shower systems feature elegant rectangular lines, perfectly highlighted by the circular mixer, the showerhead and the handset. The contemporary design is complemented by three matt finishes – Matt Black, Brushed Rose and Brushed Alu – which allow you to play with colour in a new and fascinating way. Sustainability has also been a priority, as Alu+ is made from high-quality recyclable aluminium, composed of 84 % recycled material. Completely free of chrome, lead and nickel, Alu+ also features water-saving technology built into the entire range – flow limiters reduce consumption to just 8 l/min for the handset and 12 l/min for the rain showerhead, with no impact on performance.

All the plastic parts of Alu+ are made from high-performance polymers that comply with drinking water regulations, ensuring that the water is never polluted by harmful plastics. Ideal Standard makes sustainable decisions throughout the life cycle of the Alu+ product, with all packaging fully recyclable and free of single-use plastics. Practicality is at the heart of the range. Alu+ includes storage shelves and ?beauty bars?, matching accessory bars, with mirrors and other storage solutions available in the same three colours.

A handset and showerhead offering multiple spray modes

The handset and the extra-large rain showerhead offer users two different sprays, with a regular rain spray and the luxurious SilkRain mode, which delivers ultra-fine water droplets for a spa-like experience. Switching from one mode to the other is simple, thanks to an easy-to-adjust lever on the handset and Ideal Standard's EasyDial control knob on the showerhead.

The handset and showerhead are easy to clean and limescale-free thanks to EasyClean nozzles. The range is available in thermostatic and single-lever versions, as well as in shower rail sets with handset and shower systems with a diverter that makes it easy to switch from the handset to the overhead shower. In addition, thanks to Ideal Standard's Singular™ philosophy, the shower system can easily be combined with Cerafine O taps and matching Idealrain shower accessories, in the same colours and style, as well as with Ideal Standard's wider collections of shower trays and enclosures, ceramics and furniture.

Bert Depiere, Vice President of the Brassware Division at Ideal Standard International, said: ?Ideal Standard has long experience in taps and shower accessories: we have long offered innovative, high-quality products that encourage sustainable living, with technologies designed to help save energy and water. The new Alu+ range is an excellent example of our commitment to reimagining material design and maximising recyclability. We hope that by offering collections that are aesthetic and functional, but also sustainable, we can set a new standard in bathroom design.?
