Forbo unveils its new Sarlon trafic | Modul’up flooring collection
Forbo Flooring is making a grand entrance at the start of 2021, or rather striking the 3 blows, as in the theatre, because the boldness of its new collection of acoustic heterogeneous PVC is a real feast for the eyes! And we know how important it is to take in an interior design first with the eyes.

This exclusive range of floor coverings for high-traffic areas is characterised by unrivalled diversity in products and constructions (acoustic and compact, loose-lay or glued-down), in designs (94 patterns), in possible combinations (all patterns and colours connect and interact to turn every space into a unique work of art) and, finally, in applications (education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, leisure, communal areas of housing...). It is thus the most comprehensive range on the market.

Carried by an evocative tagline, ?Better together?, the new Sarlon trafic | Modul’up collection can also boast of being 100% French, entirely designed and manufactured in Reims.

Forbo Sarlon trafic | Modul’up, floors with a unique aesthetic

Inspired by Le Corbusier's keyboard of deep colours, Camille Walala's exuberance and the Memphis movement, Sarlon trafic | Modul’up invites creativity. Its 94 patterns allow more than 350 variations across the four constructions of the range, namely Sarlon trafic 15 and 19 dB 33/43 and Modul'up trafic and compact 33/43.

Alongside timeless references, such as strikingly realistic wood, concrete and textile effects, new plain colours such as wine Bordeaux, Tuareg blue, candy-floss pink and Robin Hood Lincoln green... encourage bold yet harmonious combinations.

In addition, a number of innovative designs deliver particularly original visual sensations. Stardust features a wear layer tinted throughout with a very subtle glitter effect that comes delicately alive in the light, while Splash bursts with joyful colours well suited to the most dynamic atmospheres. On the graphic side, Doodle plays with a naive, hand-sketched motif, while the emblematic Topography, reproducing the abstract backgrounds of topographic maps, is adorned with new warm lime and steel grey shades.

On the mineral side, Graphito stands out as a playful interpretation of a terrazzo pattern, while Stromboli moves in a way that gives it the effect of almost living natural stone. Not forgetting the incredible Kubik, which almost stands as a work of art in its own right! Resolutely contemporary, this design emphasises geometry, oblique lines, perspective drawing and volumes, and modulates colours to produce the effect of a space with depth. Note that all of these designs are available loose-lay AND glued-down, and that all can be combined with one another, to play on symphonies or, conversely, contrasts.

An innovative XtremPURTM lacquer and unprecedented technical performance

Forbo Flooring offers 4 constructions and 2 installation methods for its acoustic heterogeneous PVC floor coverings designed for high-traffic areas.

For glued-down installation, Sarlon trafic 33/43 comes in two versions: on one hand, the 15 dB version, offering excellent resistance to indentation (0,05 mm) and abrasion as well as exemplary rolling-load performance, much appreciated in areas subject to heavy stresses such as heavy loads, tables and chairs. On the other hand, the 19 dB version, whose certified acoustic efficiency makes it the ideal ally for new-build projects where reducing impact and footstep noise is essential.

Innovative and expert in loose-lay installation, Forbo Flooring now includes in the collection the self-laying Modu'up trafic and Modu'up compact 33/43 floor coverings: the first stands out as the best glue-free acoustic solution on the market, with low indentation (0,08 mm); the second is specially suited to covering old substrates, including foam-backed vinyl (vsm) or asbestos-containing ones.

Remember that the Modul'up system, invented by Forbo Flooring and covered by a Technical Approval (Avis Technique), is twice as fast as a glued floor, with premises downtime reduced by 80%. With no substrate preparation, it can be put into service immediately, and any later removal is also instantaneous and damage-free (no risk of tearing up, no levelling work). And it is easy to recycle too!

Among the new features, the XtremPURTM lacquer is positioned as THE latest-generation surface treatment, doubly cross-linked (laser and UV), delivering optimal performance, well above traditional PUR lacquers.

Developed to resist scratches and shoe marks, permanent marker traces and staining agents, notably those used in the healthcare sector (such as Betadine, Eosin or potassium permanganate), XtremPURTM lacquer guarantees durability and longevity for floors. Thanks to this innovative lacquer, cleaning and maintenance operations are also optimised. Finally, aesthetically, its matt, natural finish improves the look for perfect authenticity.
