FLS Fischer Light Rail System, a Range for Supporting Service Installations

In its range of support technology, fischer offers two product lines: one for standard and heavy-duty applications, the FUS rails and their construction elements, which can support a high load; and a second for light-duty applications with a lower load, the new FLS light rail system and its construction elements.
New FLS system: simple, strong, flexible and safe
The new FLS system is used for many applications: fastening of floor-mounted and ceiling-mounted service systems, suspended ventilation and piping, two-level structures, rail-mounted brackets, rail-mounted pipes, cable trays fixed with brackets, and more. It consists of three main components: the FLS support rails and ALK fixing brackets, the pre-assembled construction elements (SF Clix 31 foot and MW Clix 90° mounting angle) and the connection elements (FHS Clix double nut, FSM Clix M and FSM Clix P nut plates).
The new FLS system offers many advantages:
- Time savings of at least 50%: the pre-assembled construction elements and the optimized assembly elements make installing the structure easier and faster.
- Flexibility thanks to a wide range of rails.
- Reliable support: installations are completely safe thanks to highly resistant elements and the precise fit of the nuts in the rails. The 90° rotation and the special serration of the Clix elements ensure error-free installation.
- Fully removable assemblies.
- Compatibility: the different elements of the FLS system can be connected regardless of the rail height.
FLS light support rails
The FLS rail is the basic element of the support system. With its unique profile, the rail and its ergonomic edges give the construction elements a particularly stable hold. The inner serration of the rail makes it easier and safer to position the connectors and ensures high load transmission. In addition, the different slotted hole geometries in the rails allow optimal fastening to the substrate and flexible installation. Finally, the graduations on the rails simplify cutting and the precise positioning of the parts to be fastened during installation.
Pre-assembled construction elements:
The SF Clix 31 foot and the MW Clix 90° mounting angle are pre-assembled, which simplifies installation, saves a great deal of time when installing service systems and reduces the number of connecting parts. They are practical: they adjust and attach to the rail with a simple 90° rotation!
The SF Clix 31 foot ensures a robust and safe connection between the rail and the building. Depending on the specific installation, the MW Clix 90° mounting angle provides a positive lock lengthwise and crosswise to the rail.
Optimized assembly elements
The FHS Clix double nut connects clamps to the rails with a 90° rotation. A special spring mechanism built into the double nut provides the necessary contact pressure in the rail and, when pressed, lets the part slide in the rail for precise and easy adjustment of the construction elements. The serration of the nut ensures a secure fixing with the rails.
The FSM Clix M nut plate is used to safely connect clamps in the FLS rails with a threaded rod. Its serration ensures highly precise, error-free positioning during the 90° rotation in the rail. The FSM Clix P nut plate quickly connects FLS rails to one another and to the substrate using the construction elements. It is firmly secured by its serrations and by a 90° rotation in the rail. It also features a unique support block with ergonomic tabs that make installation easier.
Once the FSM Clix P is positioned, the tabs disappear into the rail to ensure a steel-to-steel connection, with no plastic in between, between the construction elements and the rail. Installation is truly secure. The SV 31 rail connector is used with FSM Clix P nuts and has a special shape that ensures a perfect fit on the rail. It is used to connect and align rails together.
The FLS system is also compatible with universal clamps, ALK brackets for optimized and fast installation of cantilevered elements, retaining clips, beam clamps, and braces for better bracket stability, and more.
