fischer FIS RC II Resin, a Hybrid Resin for Anchoring Rebar

To consolidate retaining walls, install posts, reinforce slabs... the use of reinforced concrete will ensure the durability of the structure against various stresses (compression, tension). To anchor rebar securely, the use of an approved resin is essential. fischer, a specialist in fixing solutions, has developed a new hybrid vinylester resin: FIS RC II. High-performing and safe, this resin is perfectly suited to rebar with diameters from 8 to 32 mm. In addition, it combines a service life of 100 years with installation temperatures ranging from -10°C to +40°C.
fischer FIS RC II, the right chemistry between concrete and steel
fischer FIS RC II is a new hybrid vinylester-based resin suited to a variety of applications: construction or renovation of retaining walls, posts, beams, slabs, staircases... Backed by a European Technical Assessment (ETA), it reliably anchors post-installed reinforcement with rebar of 8 to 32 mm diameter or FRA tension rods M12- M20, with an embedment depth of up to 2 m. fischer FIS RC II resin allows work to progress quickly because handling and curing times are short. It is fire resistant R 180 and can be installed at temperatures from -10°C to +40°C. As a guarantee of safety and reliability, FIS RC II resin is also approved for anchoring post-installed reinforcement for a service life of 100 years, and holds ETA-22/0502; DoP-0310 for rebar connections and ETA-22/0501; DoP-0309 for anchoring in cracked concrete.
fischer FIS RC II, compatible with different types of drill bits and guns for easier application
The ETA validates drilling with a hollow drill bit, which saves time on site because installation is faster and the drill hole does not need to be cleaned. The cartridge contains the 2 components (resin and hardener stored separately), which mix and activate in the mixing nozzle. The resin is then injected into the cleaned drill hole. Once the rebar is inserted, FIS RC II bonds to the entire surface of the rebar and to the wall of the drill hole to anchor the whole assembly securely.
For practical application, it is compatible with the standard FIS AM S-XL gun and the FIS DB S cordless gun. With a power of 18 V, the latter allows rebar to be anchored in series and effortlessly. Progressive speed control ensures optimal adjustment to working conditions. The low-wear rack drive with automatic return prevents unwanted extrusion of the resin, for clean work on site. Finally, for greater user comfort, its ergonomic handle provides a good grip on the gun. FIS RC II resin is available in 360 ml cartridges and in 825 ml for large-scale projects, and a 300 ml format will be available by the end of the year.
