Engcon launches a trench bucket for large excavators

It is increasingly common for excavators of 30 tonnes to carry out work previously done by smaller excavators. This implies a growing demand for varied equipment. To meet this demand, Engcon, the world's leading manufacturer of tiltrotators, is launching the Cable Copper CB29, designed for excavators of 27 to 31 tonnes.

The launch of the new Engcon CB29 trench bucket will bring many benefits to customers and contractors.

Taking advantage of the time savings provided by larger excavator models
John Lundqvist maintains that, in most cases, a 30-tonne excavator is the first machine to arrive on a construction site or a road construction project. There is then sometimes downtime while waiting for a truck, materials, etc. The excavator can then be used for other purposes, such as grading, cable burying, etc.

If there is no waiting time, it may be less expensive to use the 30-tonne excavator rather than having the other machine delivered, especially if there are no major projects to carry out.

Engcon states that the upper part of the CB29 trench bucket is solidly built and reinforced with high-strength steel of up to 500 Brinell grade. The CB29 can be fitted with any quick coupler plate, but its basic equipment includes S70, S80 and S2 type plates.
