A pioneer in sustainable fixing solutions, fischer has developed FIS V Plus, the first universal injection resin on the market with a 100-year service life in concrete, confirmed by the ETA (European Technical Assessment).
With a century-long durability and a 45% increase in performance compared with the first generation of FIS V resin, the new fischer FIS V Plus vinylester resin provides real peace of mind for construction sites and installations. Whether for steel structures, brackets, facades, escape ladders, guardrails, cable trays and more, FIS V Plus is extremely versatile. With a single product, users can carry out numerous applications in cracked and uncracked concrete and in masonry, seismic C1 or C2, and anchorings in flooded holes.
Versatile and high-performing, the new fischer FIS V Plus universal resin can cover a wide range of applications, even in harsh environments. It holds several ETA approvals:
- ETA-20/0663 for fixing in cracked and uncracked concrete,
- ETA-20/0729 for fixing in standard masonry (solid brick, perforated brick, perforated calcium silicate brick and aerated concrete),
- ETA-20/0728 for post-installed rebar connections.
With a fire resistance of R120, it is also certified for seismic applications of category C1 and C2 and for anchoring in flooded holes, and has been assessed by the ETA for safe use with a vacuum drill bit (fischer FHD). fischer FIS V Plus is a styrene-free hybrid resin based on vinylester whose performance has been improved to meet the most demanding requirements. Its formulation increases load values by 45% in cracked concrete and by 25% in uncracked concrete compared with the previous generation of resin. In addition, FIS V Plus ensures stress-free anchorings with reduced spacing and edge distances.
With the new ETA-20/0603 Option 1 for cracked and uncracked concrete, the FIS V Plus chemical anchor enables tradespeople, civil engineers, industry professionals, metal construction specialists and design offices to use a single product for almost all applications.
This ETA confirms the same level of performance in uncracked concrete for 100 years (instead of the usual 50 years) under normal and seismic loads. It therefore offers a real advantage, particularly for infrastructure and structures designed to last for decades.
fischer FIS V Plus resin can be applied in the substrate even in adverse weather conditions, such as low substrate temperatures down to -10°C or very high temperatures up to + 40 °C.
Like other injection anchors, FIS V Plus is injected into the cleaned drill hole. When the cartridge is activated, the 2 components (resin and hardener, stored separately) are mixed and activated in the mixing nozzle. It features a new generation of cartridge with a mixing ratio (resin/hardener) of 10:1 versus 5:1 previously. This greatly helps to improve the performance of the anchor. It remains compatible with existing dispensers to simplify its use. To provide maximum safety, depending on the material, the embedment depth or the project, FIS V Plus resin can be combined with the wide range of approved fischer accessories - threaded rods, internally threaded sleeves, injection sleeves, rebars...
These components increase the flexibility of the resin and allow a wide range of applications: rebar anchoring, reinforcement connections, facade consolidation, stand-off installations... To meet users' different needs, there is also FIS VW Plus HIGH SPEED, with a shorter curing time for continuous work, even at low temperatures.
