Bobcat unveils the limited Premiere Launch Edition of its new-generation compact excavators

To celebrate the start of production of its new 1-2-tonne R2 Series compact excavators, Bobcat is releasing a special limited edition of the two largest models in the range. The 50 units of this exclusive Premiere Launch Edition are intended for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and will be genuine rarities, worthy of a collector's item. The latest-generation R2 Series includes the new E16, E17z, E19 and E20z models, presented at the Bauma trade show in April 2025.

Only 50 units available
The exclusive limited-edition version will be offered on the two largest models in the 1-2-tonne range: the E19 and E20z. Only 25 units of each model will be produced. The first deliveries of machines in standard or Premiere Launch Edition versions will begin in September. The special features of the Premiere Launch Edition include:

• Exclusive Anthracite Grey color

• Premium black and red leather or fabric seat cover, designed by MAD, for demanding users accustomed to luxury, sports or classic cars

• Specific numbered plate in the cab

• Aluminum pedals

• 4 aftermarket kits fitted as standard: Direct return to tank / Cab top guard / Travel motor hose protection / Bucket cylinder cover

New SmartFlow hydraulic system for maximum productivity
The new-generation 1-2-tonne R2 Series compact excavators E16, E17z, E19 and E20z replace the previous M Series models E17, E17z, E19 and E20z respectively. The new models feature a more modern look, increased performance and features designed to meet the varied needs of customers in the EMEA market.

Among the many new features generating interest in the new 1-2-tonne R2 Series compact excavators is the high-performance SmartFlow load-sensing hydraulic system, combined with a closed-center valve with flow sharing, driven by an upgraded engine, offering a sophisticated technical configuration never before seen on machines of this size.

The on-demand power delivered by this combination is reminiscent of that of larger excavators, and the continuously available power improves precision and efficiency. The new compact excavators always deliver the required flow, using as little energy as possible, allowing the operator to get the best out of the machine while saving fuel. The result: up to 18% lower fuel consumption and a noise reduction of 4 dBA (compared with previous-generation machines).

As on larger machines, the new hydraulic system allows the operator to perform several actions simultaneously on the new 1-2-tonne compact excavators. Thus, even when using an attachment that requires a lot of hydraulic power, for example a flail mower on a quick coupler at full speed, the operator can drive, swing the machine and lift at the same time without any problem.
