Alkern announces that it has obtained the Avis Technique 16/17-753_V1 for KOSMO CITY, its insulating block solution of 20 cm made from lightweight aggregates and fitted with a 100 % mineral insulating foam core by AIRium.

Boasting exceptional thermal resistance (R = 1,7 m2.K/W), KOSMO CITY also offers excellent mechanical strength, making it a natural choice for multi-unit residential buildings up to R+3.

What's more, Alkern's KOSMO CITY, which is NFTh certified, also delivers significant acoustic attenuation of up to 55 dB; an additional asset for project owners (developers, local authorities, major construction groups) seeking buildings that perform well across the board, in terms of both thermal and acoustic comfort.

Another notable performance: when the KOSMO CITY block (18 kg) is combined with ISOPLANEL S, thermal losses at floor ends are effectively addressed in all zones, including seismic zones (Planelle compliant with Eurocode 8).

As regards fire regulations, KOSMO CITY exceeds the fire resistance requirements for multi-unit housing, with 3 hours of fire resistance on a rendered load-bearing wall.

Finally, KOSMO CITY is fully in line with Alkern's innovation policy in favor of environmental protection, as this insulating block solution is 100 % recyclable and can be disposed of without sorting in site-return skips (DIB), resulting in a CO2 lower impact compared with other solutions.
