At the end of the year, Bosch is expanding its range of tools for drywallers with 3 new products specially designed to offer greater ergonomics and efficiency while making the user's work easier. With the GTB 18V-45 Professional cordless drywall screwdriver, driving screws into plasterboard has never been so easy! The GCU 18V-30 Professional cordless cutting tool makes it possible to cut chases more safely and quickly. Finally, with the GTR 55-225 Professional drywall sander, users can sand walls and ceilings ergonomically and effortlessly. The new GTB and GCU join the 18V Bosch Professional platform.
Equipped with a brushless motor, the new GTB 18V-45 Bosch Professional is the first cordless drywall screwdriver on the market with a retractable depth stop. Convenient, it retains the set depth and does not need to be removed to unscrew screws. The GTB 18V-45 Professional drywall screwdriver features a ?PowerSave? mode which, once activated, makes the motor engage only when the screw touches the wall. Quiet, this mode increases the tool's runtime and the number of screws driven per battery charge. Highly maneuverable thanks to its ergonomic design, slim shape and low weight (only 950 g), the GTB 18V-45 Bosch Professional offers great comfort of use. Drywallers can carry out serial or overhead applications even more efficiently and effortlessly.
The screwdriver is designed for drywall screws up to 6 mm but it can be used with the optional MA 55 Professional and GMA 55 Professional collated screw magazines (sold in 2023). These accessories are easy to fit without additional tools and make serial screwing work faster and more pleasant, even in difficult positions. They can hold drywall screws with a length between 25 and 55 mm and a screw head diameter of 5 mm. In addition, the GTB 18V-45 Professional features Electronic Motor Protection (EMP), a motor brake, a switch that can be locked in the on position, a belt clip and left/right reversibility. It is compatible with the entire 18V Bosch Professional battery and charger platform.
The brushless GCU 18V-30 Bosch Professional is Bosch's first cordless cutting tool. With it, drywallers can quickly and precisely cut chases to fit power sockets, switches, and electrical or plumbing connections. It is also perfect for flush cuts around window and door frames. Unique on the market, the GCU 18V-30 Professional has a rubber seal (compliant with protection class IP5X) that protects the on/off switch, preventing dust from clogging the tool and thus extending its service life. To work in a healthier and cleaner environment, the tradesperson can connect the tool to a vacuum cleaner using the removable adapter.
For safer use, the tool is equipped with a motor brake and restart protection. In addition, tradespeople can precisely adjust the cutting depth and start working safely thanks to the soft start function. The new GTR 55-225 Bosch Professional drywall sander is ideal for drywallers, plasterers, painters and interior fitters who want to prepare surfaces or carry out demanding, large-scale or prolonged sanding work on walls and ceilings. It was designed to make tradespeople's work more efficient and less physically demanding. Thanks to its patented ultra-flexible head, it glides effortlessly along walls and ceilings, and the sanding disc always stays flat on the surface. The risk of damaging surfaces is reduced and the dust extraction rate is higher. The adjustable suction effect helps reduce fatigue during prolonged work and relieves the user of part of the tool's weight. Its additional ergonomic L-shaped handle increases comfort and reduces fatigue when sanding in awkward positions.
