With the Cosyk range, Quickciel confirms its status as an expert in roof ETICS

Quickciel, a supplier of external thermal insulation (ETI) solutions for facades and roofs, claims a position as a specialist in roof ETI with its Quickciel Cosyk range of insulating sandwich panels. This accomplished offer of solutions, recognized and valued for their performance, is judiciously complemented by a range of services and new references dedicated to Sarking for the roofs and vertical walls of single-family homes. Since its creation in 2013 in Ungersheim (Haut-Rhin), Quickciel (a subsidiary of the Knauf Bâtiment division) has been dedicated to external thermal insulation. This specialization allows it to best serve building professionals by meeting their specific expectations with product solutions of proven performance, combined with a wide array of services as guarantees of competitiveness.
Quickciel offers high-quality products, resulting from Knauf's research and production plants. Quickciel also guarantees its customers (installers and distributors) an offer fully in line with current standards and norms, made up of certified products (CSTB, Acermi, HQE, FDES, etc.). This is combined with suitable and valued services: delivery to the construction site, angled factory cutting for ridges and eave cutting at the bottom of the slope, and solutions for low fixings. Indeed, Quickciel supports its customers with a dedicated team of experts throughout the country who advise them, validate measurements, calculate quantities, etc.
A true specialist, Quickciel also demonstrates its expertise through two offers of PU foam panels (PIR type):
- The Sarking references insulate roofs, in lowland and mountain areas alike (up to 2000 meters in altitude), with panels measuring 2400 x 1200 mm or 1200 x 600 mm whose interlocking profile, on 4 sides and centered on the thickness, is particularly effective against thermal bridges and eases installation (the elements are compatible with each other even when turned over).
- The PU Façade MI panels, for their part, insulate vertical walls with 14 references to meet all ETI site configurations, new-build or renovation, for single-family homes. These two complementary ranges exploit all the advantages of ETI: excellent thermal performance, limited thermal bridges, simple and quick installation, preservation of all available interior space, an economical solution eligible for certain public subsidies...
Quickciel is renewing its flagship range of load-bearing sandwich panels with an EPS core: Quickciel Cosyk. Suited to all market segments (single-family homes, collective housing, public-access buildings and industrial buildings), Quickciel Cosyk meets roof configurations and insulation needs, and offers a true collection of facings with finishes for every taste.
To reduce the waste rate, Quickciel offers panels ranging from 2,50 to 8 meters, in 10 increments of 10 cm, depending on the facing selected. The insulation forming the core of the Cosyk sandwich panels is a high-performance grey EPS. Available in two versions, Th30 (? of 30 mW/m.K) and Th31 (? of 31 mW/m.K), and in thicknesses ranging from 105 to 260 mm, Quickciel Cosyk panels adapt to every need and achieve a thermal resistance of up to 8,95 m².K/W. In addition, its tongue-and-groove interlocking system in the EPS eases installation and further limits thermal bridges.
The EPS core of Quickciel Cosyk panels is combined with resistant materials that complete the sandwich structure. Moreover, being easy to handle with a width of 60 cm and a weight of 18 to 20 kg/m², Quickciel Cosyk panels, thanks to their strength, allow installation over long spans (2,5 to 8 m with spacings of 10 cm). Another asset: the standard Quickciel Cosyk panel is fitted with 2 softwood counter-battens to receive the roofing battens and ensure its ventilation. Finally, synonymous with continuous performance and insulation, the panel bridging system is simple to implement since it is done without aluminum tape for treating the joints.
Providing a finished look in the living space or converted attic, the interior facing of Quickciel Cosyk panels serves directly as a decorative soffit. Quickciel has taken particular care over the possible finishes, which come in 5 collections:
- Prim' thus offers a traditional plasterboard interior facing (BA13 panel) to paint or wallpaper.
- Bôa brings together three finishes, Spruce board, Douglas fir and solid Poplar, (from 19 to 23 mm thick) to create the warm, natural atmosphere of wood.
- Kréa is positioned in a modern finish segment with an extremely resistant particleboard facing, or OSB to leave natural or paint.
- Laké offers Décor blanc, a pre-painted particleboard panel that can be tinted in a whole palette of colors.
- Acoustik combines the sound insulation of Organic wood wool with a choice of 21 shades for an original finish.
Quickciel has developed Quickciel Cosyk panels suited to the specifics of each site. While they are traditionally laid on purlins, Cosyk roof panels are also available for installation on rafters and FM rafters (mechanical fixing) as well as in an SPST version (tile-underlay sheet support).
Quickciel Cosyk ERP also includes three panels meeting the requirements of public-access buildings:
- Quickciel Cosyk Plâtre ERP, whose plasterboard is a BA18.
- Quickciel Cosyk Planche and Acoustik, for which an additional thermal barrier (in the form of a cellulose plasterboard 18 mm thick) is added between the insulation and the interior facing.
Quickciel Cosyk SPST is intended for roofs made with profiled sheets that receive the tiles. The counter-battens of Cosyk SPST are particularly resistant to pull-out. Their red color distinguishes them from the rest of the Cosyk offer. While Quickciel Cosyk Chevron is suited to vertical installation on rafters, it should be noted that this reference also treats the longitudinal joints between the exterior facings thanks to an aluminum-butyl tape. Likewise, Quickciel Cosyk Chevron FM, which has a water-repellent CTB-H chipboard panel 8 mm thick between the EPS core and the exterior facing, is particularly recommended for humid environments.
Finally, as a true ETI specialist, Quickciel supports its three ranges Cosyk, Sarking and PU Façade MI with a range of accessories suited to installing its solutions: fixings, foam and tapes for joints, finishing profiles and boards, verge board with anchoring kit...
