Toshiba launches its Estia range of Thermodynamic Water Heaters

Toshiba introduces its new Estia monobloc Thermodynamic Water Heater, designed to supply domestic hot water at up to 60°C without electric backup. It offers users a high level of performance that translates into energy savings: COP at +7°C of up to 3,69, and it achieves energy class A+.

The range offers 2 capacities, 190 and 260 litres, ideal for all types of installation, in both new builds and renovations. With its sleek, streamlined design, this monobloc solution consists of an integrated compressor, fan and heat exchanger. Its enamelled steel tank and magnesium anode ensure protection and durability for the installation.

Excellent performance
The 2 models in the range, NF certified, deliver high performance. The thermodynamic water heater has the best COP on the market at + 7°C of up to 3,69 (according to EN16147) for the 260 L tank.

In addition, they hold energy class A+ and have wide operating ranges from -7°C to + 40°C outdoors, enabling thermodynamic operation in all seasons.

A comfortable and quiet solution
The new Estia Thermodynamic Water Heater can cover the domestic hot water needs of a family of 5 people, with a volume of water available at 40°C of 347 L for the 260 L model.

In a ducted configuration, the thermodynamic water heater has a low sound pressure level of 32 dB(A) at a distance of 2 metres. It can therefore be installed inside the home while respecting the occupants' peace and quiet.

Flexible installation and implementation
The heat pump integrated in the Estia thermodynamic water heater recovers the heat contained in the air to heat domestic hot water. It works by recycling the calories present in the air to heat the water. The air cooled by the heat pump is expelled to the outside.

With its compact size (Ø620mm) and a reduced footprint of 0,3 m2 (similar to a household appliance), the Estia thermodynamic water heater fits easily into the home.

Transport and handling are made easier by the possibility of moving the unit in its packaging in a horizontal position over a limited distance. Its adjustable static pressure of up to 200 Pa makes integration and installation easier.

Smart features
The Estia thermodynamic water heater has a user-friendly, intuitive control with 5 different programming modes to take the occupants' lifestyle habits into account.
- AUTO: normal operation, heating as soon as the temperature is more than 5°C below the setpoint.
- ECO: the setpoint is lowered to consume less energy.
- BOOST: to meet large, immediate domestic hot water needs.
- BACK UP: emergency operation when the heat pump cannot operate.
- SILENCE: reduced fan speed to minimise noise levels.
- HOLIDAY: water heater switched off for a period programmable in number of days.

The Estia thermodynamic water heater also features Modbus connectivity for easy control and quick remote monitoring of the installation.
