AMCC unveils Solidéa, its new range of PVC windows

With more than 11 million units installed, the French window market remained relatively stable in 2022, driven by renovation and dominated by PVC models. Against a backdrop of inflation and a sharp drop in new housing starts, 2023 looks set to be an uncertain year. To establish themselves in a weakened market, manufacturers are betting on innovation. AMCC, a manufacturer of PVC, aluminium, mixed (PVC/alu), wood and steel joinery, has understood this well and is presenting Solidéa, its new range of PVC windows that combines high thermal performance, reliability and refined aesthetics.
A window for greater energy savings
Fitted with profiles featuring 6 insulation chambers, the windows and French windows in the Solidéa range consist of:
- a frame of 76 mm,
- a sash of 82 mm with 4/20/4FE acoustic glazing of 28 mm, low-emissivity and filled with argon gas, and a TPS spacer certified by Cekal. This innovative spacer ensures maximum long-term gas retention as well as enhanced, lasting thermal and acoustic insulation,
- a triple barrier of seals, with one on the sash and two on the frame, for air and water tightness that is optimised over time and further reinforced by the TPS spacer, which prevents condensation and misting on the glazing. Thus equipped, the Solidéa range has an AEV rating of A*4 – E*8A – V*A3 and V*A2 depending on its dimensions.
All these elements improve the window's energy efficiency to deliver optimal thermal insulation (standard Uw of 1,2 W/m2.K) and acoustic insulation (RW of 30 to 40 dB). This ensures maximum comfort as well as savings on heating and air conditioning, a significant advantage as electricity prices continue to rise!
A reliable and durable window
The Solidéa range stands out for its bonded glazing, which improves the stability and longevity of the joinery. Combined with systematic steel reinforcement of the frame profiles, which gives them great strength, this industrial process limits any risk of deformation or sagging. In addition, the use of drying wedges ensures ideal squareness of the joinery, an absolute guarantee of optimal long-term operation and of easy, perfect installation.
For unrivalled security, Solidéa windows and French windows are fitted with:
- RC2-type metal hardware, resistant to burglars,
- mushroom rollers and security strike plates, which play an essential role by providing an anti-lift-out function,
- a full-height rebate lever,
- and the Sécustik centred handle which, thanks to its locking mechanism, blocks if someone tries to operate it from the outside by manipulating the hardware.
All the essential equipment is combined to offer the best protection to every home in the event of a break-in attempt! Remarkable for their high performance, the joinery in the Solidéa range also stands out for its premium, refined aesthetics. With sleek, clean lines, they come in a palette of classic colours (white, anthracite grey, golden oak...) but also with the exclusive SPECTRAL finish. Combining lacquering and plaxing, this high-quality, resistant and durable coating offers deep colours with an ultra-matt look and a velvety feel. Another advantage, and not the least, this dust-repellent surface finish is also easy to maintain with a simple damp cloth, without leaving any fingerprints.
With a very wide variety of colours available on request, Solidéa thus meets the market trend that gives pride of place to coloured windows! Combining high performance and unrivalled longevity, AMCC's Solidéa range with its exclusive finishes gives the joinery an unprecedented aesthetic dimension. A window that should undoubtedly establish itself as the market benchmark.
