New GBH 18V-26 F Professional Motor Rotary Hammer from Bosch

New GBH 18V-26 F Professional Motor Rotary Hammer from Bosch

More power, more comfort and less dust
With the GBH 18V-26 F Professional, Bosch is adding to its range of EC motor rotary hammers an ergonomic tool that is as powerful as corded tools.
This new rotary hammer delivers an impact energy of 2,6 joules, which is 50% more power than the most powerful 18-volt rotary hammer on the market, making it comparable to a corded tool such as the GBH 2-26 Professional rotary hammer.

The brushless EC motor plays a major part in this, as its high efficiency makes the tool maintenance-free with increased performance.

This new rotary hammer is available in 2 models: one with a fixed chuck (GBH 18V-26 Professional, solo version without battery or charger) and one with an interchangeable chuck, the GBH 18V-26 F Professional, which is supplied with a keyless chuck for round-shank drill bits.

They are part of the Flexible Power system and are therefore compatible with Bosch's professional 18-volt system.
And to help tradespeople work cleanly, drilling without dust while protecting their health and their tools, Bosch is launching a new optional integrated dust extraction unit, the GDE 18V-16 Professional, in May 2017.

Precise applications thanks to Bosch's proven electronics
So that tradespeople can work in a controlled way during delicate operations, such as drilling into reinforced concrete, Bosch has equipped its new rotary hammer with the KickBack Control system.

If the tool suddenly rotates around its axis, for example when the drill bit jams, the integrated sensor stops the motor within a fraction of a second. This measure prevents kickback and thus reduces the risk of injury.

The integrated Electronic Precision Control (EPC) system assists users during difficult drilling work in sensitive materials such as tiles. Once the EPC function is activated, the maximum power of the rotary hammer is limited to 70% and the speed ramps up more slowly.

The tradesperson can work in hammer mode right from the start and save a work step. Any slipping when starting to drill is ruled out, and precise results can be achieved quickly and easily.

Ergonomic and vibration-resistant
With the new 18-volt rotary hammer, Bosch has redesigned and optimized the shape of its tool, enabling ergonomic work. The hand is now aligned with the drilling axis.

This L shape allows work with minimal effort. It also features an effective vibration reduction system: a damping element decouples the main handle from the rotary hammer's motor, actively reducing vibrations for fatigue-free work.

First Bosch rotary hammer with integrated active dust extraction
To enable tradespeople to work without dust inside buildings, Bosch is offering, for the first time, the new 18-volt rotary hammer with integrated active dust extraction: when needed, the GDE 18V-16 Professional dust extractor can be easily attached to the rotary hammer.

It has its own motor powered by the energy of the tool's battery. The extraction unit has an Auto Power On/Off function for simple, clean drilling. It starts automatically with the rotary hammer and keeps running for two seconds after drilling stops for optimal dust removal.

The integrated HEPA filter, which offers additional protection against dust, can be cleaned and emptied easily, like the dust container.
This 18-volt Bosch rotary hammer also features LED lighting and a powerful 6,0 Ah battery. The GAL 1880 CV Professional charger fully charges the battery in 50 minutes, which is 30% faster than its predecessor!
