A new range of JCB dumpers with capacities from one to nine tonnes

As the flagship of the front-tip dumper market, the new JCB range delivers an unprecedented level of safety, meeting the expectations of contractors, civil engineers and builders, as well as professionals in the road and construction industries.
Features:
• Two-year manufacturer's warranty
• All-steel construction
• Compliance with the latest safety legislation, including ISO 5006:2017 and EN474 standards
• 7T-1 model, the only high-visibility front-tip dumper meeting the sector's main safety requirements
• JCB SiteSafe cab with reinforced frame and impact protection on the 6-9 tonne models
• Models designed and built at JCB's world headquarters in the United Kingdom
JCB has developed a range of nine models that are easy to operate, reliable and durable, and that deliver optimum turnaround time for rental companies. The range includes a high-tip model of 1 tonne, a front-tip swivel model of 3 tonnes offering different transmission options, a front-tip swivel model of 6 tonnes and a final front-tip model of 9 tonnes. The flagship of the new JCB Dumper range is the 7 tonne high-visibility model, which features an innovative design.
Maximum safety
JCB has moved the market forward by announcing the launch of its 7 tonne high-visibility model. The 7T-1 high-visibility front-tip model addresses the main safety issues encountered on today's job sites: visibility, stability and operator protection.
Using a chassis that features a low design and a modified skip configuration, this new concept benefits from a major improvement in forward visibility. Compared with a conventional loaded 6 tonne dumper, the 7T-1 high-visibility model delivers visibility performance that is 77% better.
The operator can see an object 1,4 m high at a distance of 1 m with the machine loaded, and an object 0,8 m high at a distance of 1 m when empty, which far exceeds legal requirements. Importantly, this is the operator's direct field of vision. As a result, there is no need for additional visual aids such as mirrors, cameras or object detection systems.
Improved stability considerably reduces the risk of the machine tipping over. This increased stability in all directions is helped by the longer wheelbase, wider track and lower skip height. The centre of gravity of the payload is lowered by 16%. The longer wheelbase has no effect on manoeuvrability. The increased steering angle of 35 gives the high-visibility model a turning radius comparable to that of the standard 6 tonne model.
New levels of operator protection are provided by the standard fitting of the JCB SiteSafe cab. This Level II ROPS/FOPS cab features a reinforced frame and a front bumper, designed and tested to withstand front-tip and side-slewing impacts from a 13 tonne excavator. A high-visibility orange retractable seat belt provides operator comfort and safety, with a sequential anti-start system ensuring that it is worn properly. To engage the transmission, the operator must be seated with the seat belt fastened. When the machine first moves, an audible signal warns anyone nearby that the dumper is about to move. A gear indicator shows the operator the travel speed, for optimum compliance with job site restrictions.
Material loads
The 6 tonne JCB front-tip and side-tip Dumpers, like the 9 tonne front-tip model, are fitted as standard with a foldable Level 2 ROPS/FOPS structure protecting the operator, in compliance with the requirements of the EN474 safety standard. The JCB SiteSafe cab is also available as an option.
These 3 machines are fitted with a front camera that improves visibility in compliance with ISO 5006:2017 standard, as well as a sequential anti-start system ensuring that the operator is correctly and securely seated before engaging the transmission. A green LED beacon is available as an option to indicate that the seat belt is fastened, as are a skip raise alarm, high-visibility painted steps and handles, mirrors, 360 cameras, object detection systems and LED work lights.
All the larger JCB Dumpers are fitted with the company's proven 74 cv (55 kW) JCB EcoMAX diesel engine, which complies with the Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Final emissions standard and requires no after-treatment. JCB axles and JCB PowerShuttle transmissions provide complete vertical integration of components, for optimum productivity and performance.
Full service access is possible from all sides thanks to a tilting seat base and a wide-opening rear bonnet. The easily removable JCB SiteSafe cab also allows easy servicing.
Lighter loads
JCB offers a range of dumpers suited to every application in the sector, from the smallest 1 tonne high-tip model to the 3 tonne front-tip and side-tip model. These smaller models, designed and developed according to JCB's principles of longevity and reliability, are fitted with a folding ROPS frame and a seat sensor anti-start.
The 1 tonne machine is equipped with a hydrostatic driveline with individual drive motors, while the 3 tonne JCB dumpers are offered with a wide choice of hydrostatic and manual transmissions. Proven Kubota diesel engines ensure low operating costs, ease of servicing and a shorter turnaround time for rental company customers. JCB dumpers feature a protected rear design, with the number plate and road lights positioned away from any potential hazard. The all-steel construction helps reduce repair costs and provides superior longevity, combined with the 2-year JCB warranty and optional LiveLink telematics, for unrivalled peace of mind.
