Graie has organized every three years, since 1992 in Lyon, one of the largest international conferences on technologies and sustainable strategies in stormwater management, entitled Novatech.
The main partners of the event are Greater Lyon, the Rhône-Alpes Region, the Water Agencies, the Eurydice 92 association, INSA Lyon and ASTEE. The Novatech conference is focused on finding solutions sustainable water management of rainy weather in built spaces (urban and peri-urban).
It concerns both rainwater and unitary waters. The issues of rainwater management are increasingly diversified: prevention of floods and erosion phenomena, preservation of the quality of the environments, limitation of health risks, but also recovery of rainwater, use in the landscape, air conditioning improvement of the living environment or awareness of eco-citizenship.
In addition, the increasing demands on the quality of the aquatic environment and the resource, the worsening of certain anthropic phenomena, as well as the taking into account of the probable changes of the climate, complicate the system.
