New Doosan DX210W-5 Phase IV Wheel Excavator
Saturday, March 21, 2015Description :
Doosan Construction Equipment launched the DX210W-5, a new Phase IV-compliant 21-ton wheeled excavator. Not only does it comply with the latest Phase IV anti-pollution regulations, the DX210W-5 goes much further and sets new standards in the design of wheeled excavators around the world. This is reflected in a completely innovative style, common to all new Doosan Phase IV machines. The new DX210W-5 delivers first-class comfort and handling, as well as new features to improve fuel efficiency, availability and return on investment by optimizing power, robustness and agility.

CoreTMS fleet management system
Like all Doosan Phase IV excavators above 14 tonnes, the DX210W-5 is factory equipped with the new CoreTMS wireless advanced fleet monitoring system. The CoreTMS system is a new tool specifically designed for the Doosan range. It provides complete information on the performance of the machine in a dual mode (satellite, GSM). With updated software to communicate directly with the EPOS system of a Doosan excavator, the CoreTMS system is the only tool of this type to be able to provide such a level of information, communicating relevant data and reducing costs On equipment, to help customers work more efficiently.
Also available for kit adaptation, the CoreTMS system comes with 3 years free subscription on the new 'W-5' excavators. Customers benefit from their own account, and can manage the machines in their fleet using the system.

Improved power and efficiency
The new DX210W-5 excavator is powered by the Doosan DL06P water-cooled diesel engine, a proven 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, one of the most reliable and economical ever produced by Doosan, resulting in an output of 141, 2 kW (189 hp) at 1,900 rpm, a significant 17% increase in engine power compared to the previous generation. The DL06P engine delivers convenience and low cost while meeting Phase IV emission standards without the need for a particulate filter, through the use of EGR (cooled exhaust gas recirculation) and SCR Catalytic system).
Like the DL06P engine, new innovative and exclusive features have been introduced to reduce fuel consumption by an average of 10%. Among these features is the new 'Trip Meter Setting' screen, which allows operators to monitor daily fuel consumption (over a desired period of time) directly from the dashboard. And to save even more fuel, Doosan has developed a special system called Smart Power Control (SPC) that monitors both the engine and the pump power and limits unnecessary outputs depending on the difficulty of the job. The SPC can be used with the 4 working modes (E, S, P, P +).
The DX210W-5 electric fan clutch, which controls the cooling fan at optimal speed, also contributes to the machine's excellent results in terms of fuel consumption. The fan speed is controlled electronically according to the temperatures of the coolant, hydraulic oil and intake air, and the engine speed selected. - This technology reduces both the noise generated by the fan and the fuel consumption.
In addition to the 17% increase in engine power, the DX210W-5 has a 14% higher engine torque. The new Posicon hydraulic system also offers a 3% increase in hydraulic capacity, resulting in an 8% improvement in bucket pull force and 6% in balance force. The increase in weight of 900 kg and the increase in width of the machine allow for forward lift capacities of 4 to 8% (bottom / top accessory), while the lateral capacities are increased from 12 to 15% (bottom / top accessory).

Exceptional comfort and control
The DX210W-5 is equipped with the CabSus cab suspension system, which reduces vibrations by 20% while also offering an impressive 2 dBA reduction in external sound level and 4 dBA in cab noise, further enhancing Safety and comfort of the operator.
The standard ergonomics and comfort features in the new cab are among the best on the market and include the exclusive Doosan impulse contactor, four working and power modes, auxiliary line pressure and flow control Directly from the operator's seat, as well as proportional control of manipulators and pedals via short and long stroke manipulators and a new system allowing the use of round-trip lines from the manipulator or pedal.
The operator also benefits from enhanced side visibility, a new 7-inch FT LCD color screen, fully automatic climate control, more storage compartments for documents and other objects, and Of an improved layout, with all major switches grouped within reach on the right console. The new pressurized cabin is equipped with seals, air filters and increased internal pressure to prevent dust from entering (ISO 10263-3)
A side view camera is available as an option, and the dashboard allows you to combine the rear and side camera displays on the same screen at the touch of a button. For added security when using the cameras, a menu bar remains open on the screen so that the operator can continue to monitor the warning icons and the level of the main gauges. New lights on the front boom double the available lighting. And for a better protection, a fairing has been added as standard.
The automatic idle speed of the DX210W-5 automatically increases from 800 to 1100 rpm as soon as the ambient temperature falls below 10 ° C. This function increases the efficiency of cab heating.

Reduced total operating cost
The lower chassis has been reinforced to reduce stress and extend the service life. The stabilizer chassis has also been reinforced by a box type assembly, with an increase in the thickness of most parts for greater strength. The backfilling blade and its articulation have been reinforced to obtain a more rigid assembly and an optimized tightening between the two structures. The backfilling blade is higher and its profile has been improved to facilitate pushing and mixing of materials. The size of the stabilizer covers has been reduced to minimize damage.
Made of hardened steel, the articulation pivots at the end of the balance are secured by massive side plates. The arrangement of the pipes has been completely revised in order to prevent any interference between pipes and pipes and thus to reduce pressure losses. The rubber spacer between the double tires has a new symmetrical design and a new rim fitting now guarantees the absence of deformation and a good connection to resist the impacts of stones and other materials.
To further increase longevity and reduce operating noise, the DX210W-5 is equipped with EMS (Enhanced Macro-surface) rings, which are much better than standard rings for identical lubrication.
Air pre-filters are standard on the DX210W-5 to remove as much dust, dirt, insects, rain and snow from the air intake as air Which reaches the air filter of the engine is cleaner. The engine is better protected and the intervals of replacement of the air filters are lengthened, which increases the availability and productivity of the machine. Doosan also added protection to the cabin's internal air filter and redesigned cabin air conditioning filters for easier replacement.
To avoid serious damage to the engine, an audible alarm has been added to the warning message that there is water in the fuel. If the operator does not remedy the problem after several warnings, the engine speed and pump output are automatically limited. In addition, in order for operators to better understand the importance of warning messages and to transmit the correct error codes, warning messages are now supplemented by pop-up menus with detailed information and warnings Easier to identify.
The angle and the height of the opening of the hood have been enlarged for better visibility of the components: the opening angle of the hood is now 60 ° and the door opening height is 1040 mm. The capacity of the battery has been increased to 2 * 150 AH (950 cc), thus enabling improved starting performance in cold environments. The alternator is equipped as standard with a capacity of 80 A. The batteries are placed in the storage compartment and the fuel filler pump is placed in the compartment of the pumps.
The engine emergency stop switch has been moved to the side of the seat so that it is directly accessible from the ground for faster access in an emergency. Non-slip, star-shaped plates allow the steps to stay cleaner and more efficient. In accordance with the new European regulations, safety bars are standard.
All current options, including monobloc and articulated arrows, long and short balances and hydraulic lines, are available on the new DX210W-5 excavator.
