HONEYWELL LAUNCHES DEEPBLUE WINTER GLOVES FOR USE IN COLD MEDIUM
Honeywell today announced the launch of DeepBlue Winter gloves, an alternative to traditional leather gloves, demonstrating excellent performance in terms of heat resistance and grip. Designed for the oil, public works, construction, transportation and railway industries, DeepBlue Winter gloves keep the hands of users warm and dry, allowing them to handle oily and greasy parts in cold environments.
"With the performance and lifespan of traditional leather gloves limited, our customers have asked us to create a new generation of handling gloves that offer other features and benefits," says Peggy Mandozy, Product Manager Gloves, Honeywell Safety Products EMEAI. "They wanted gloves that were both lightweight, breathable and flexible, but also highly performing in terms of heat resistance and grip in cold and wet environments. We designed DeepBlue Winter, a glove completely coated with nitrile foam with a fleece lining that keeps hands dry and warm at temperatures down to -20 ° C. "
Demonstrating the highest abrasion resistance score (4 according to EN388 for gloves that protect against mechanical hazards), nitrile foam coating improves dexterity and ensures excellent adhesion in wet and oily environments. The model also has a longer lifespan than its traditional leather counterparts, as it can be regularly washed at 40 ° C without altering its quality.
DeepBlue Winter gloves have a self-gripping wrist system for a better fit. The new gloves were also tested by a large oil company.
